Today we biked from Woodward Reservoir to Merced. The route took us through grove after grove. First, we saw a lot of corn. Next, we were surrounded by peach orchards (and of course we had to try a few samples). And finally, we went through rows and rows of almond trees (we also sampled some, but they were far from ripe).

We arrived in Merced early (our CouchSurfing host was on his way back from San Francisco). That was no problem though because we had a lot of errands to run. First, and most importantly, was lunch. We picked up a few things from Wal-Mart and then got pizza at Round Table.

Next, we went to the library to use the internet and do some research on Yosemite. We were lucky enough to even catch a free reptile show the library was hosting! After that, we killed some more time by going to a used bookstore and Barnes & Noble. Finally, it was time for dinner, so we had our favorite: Mexican.

By this time, our CouchSurfing host, Eddie, was back home. We went to his house, unloaded, showered, and almost immediately went to bed. We knew we'd have to wake up early the next day to catch the regional bus to Yosemite.
