When we woke up, the rain had finally stopped, but everything was still wet. We hung all of our stuff on the fence around the sand volleyball court and waited for the sun to come out and work its magic. Before long, everything was dry. We enjoyed some new flavors of oatmeal and headed off to Wal-Mart. We were almost out of fuel, so we had to buy some white gas to re-fill our fuel bottles with.

We finally headed out of Houston and were pleasantly surprised with how nice the weather was. Sunny, with a few funny-shaped clouds in the sky, and not-too-hot. Just right. Our 40-mile ride went by rather quickly and smoothly, without too many steep climbs. The Ozarks are finally starting to flatten out, but we still have a few river valleys to climb out of.

We arrived at our destination, Hartville, with plenty of time to spare. There are no campgrounds or hotels so we set our tents up on the courthouse lawn. It is a very nice lawn, indeed. Unfortunately, this means no showers for today, but there doesn't appear to be too many single men to impress around here anyway.

We are now using the internet at public library, which is conveniently attached to the courthouse. It's been awhile since we've updated, so I hope you all enjoy reading the previous few entries and checking out our new photos (there aren't very many even though Missouri is much more beautiful than we had imagined).
