Today we took a look around Denver. Pretty much as soon as we got into town, the rain started. We loitered around the visitor center until the rain let up a bit and then took the bus down to the state capitol. We walked upon a free tour and followed along for a segment of it. We were thinking of other free indoor things we could do, so we walked down to the mint. Unfortunately, they were booked for the day, so we walked over to the 16th Street Mall and stopped in a few shops. We found a really delicious place for lunch called BD's, a Mongolian BBQ, so we loaded up on our veggies. After, we stopped at The Cheesecake Factory and shared a decadent piece of wild blueberry white chocolate truffle cheesecake. We knew we'd have to leave Denver by late afternoon to get the car back to Pueblo, so we made just one more stop. We went into the REI shop and gawked at all the amazing outdoor stuff. I think we all wanted to buy a new bike after looking at the shiny ones in the shop. Emily bought a new pair of cold weather cycling gloves in preparation for the mountains. They were on mega sale, too!

We made it back to Pueblo, returned the car, retrieved our bikes, and made it back to the CouchSurfer's house where we sorted through our things and repacked. We relaxed and ate a lot (as always!) and enjoyed an evening of doing nothing.
