We woke up super early this morning to make our way to Las Vegas; a day we've all been looking forward to. Our original plan was to rent a car to Vegas, but Lucy gave us a much better offer. About a 20-minute drive from Hurricane, in St George, there is a $25 shuttle van to Las Vegas; making our trip much cheaper and probably safer. Lucy drove us to St George to catch the 7:30am van before she headed off on a trip of her own to visit with her family. It took just 2 hours to get to Vegas, so we were there with the whole day to spend.

We got dropped off right on the strip and were instantly mesmerized by all the big, flashy buildings. From desert to this! We got dropped off at the south end of the strip and unfortunately our hotel, the Stratosphere, was at the north end, though we were kind of happy to look around. We stumbled along a ticket booth selling discounted show tickets, so we decided to go for it. We chose Zumanity, a Cirque de Soleil show for that same evening. About a 2-hour walk later, we finally made it to the hotel. This was definitely the nicest one we've stayed in the whole trip.

We couldn't wait to make it to the pool as it was in the 100's by the afternoon. We swam and soaked in the sun for a short while before it was time to get ready for our show that evening. We figured out the bus system and made it to New York New York for our show at 7:30pm. Zumanity is Cirque de Soleil's sensual show so it was basically all that you expect of Cirque de Soleil, just topless!

We didn't want to stay out too late our first night (saving that for the days to come) because we had to be up early for our tour to the Hoover Dam. I might add that we got an amazing deal on this tour, half price from everything else we found!! On our way back to the hotel, we stopped by the Bellagio to watch their fountain show and then we were off to bed.
