We took one more day off in Atlanta because we had a few random things to accomplish. First, Rebekah woke up early to bike to the Public Office in Marietta. She was able to get fingerprinted there which she needs for her Minnesota teaching license application. We all cleaned our bikes after that and were disgusted by the amount of black crud that had built up everywhere (in just one week)! After the cleaning, we took our bikes to the Silver Comet Depot, a bike shop right on the Silver Comet Trail. For those of you who don't know, the Silver Comet Trail is a 60+ mile paved trail that runs from Smyrna, GA to the border of Alabama. Where the Silver Comet Trail ends, the Chief Ladiga Trail begins and continues on into Alabama for another 33 miles. At the bike shop, the service manager, Eric was able to help us with a bunch of problems we were having: broken spokes, un-true wheels, sticky shifting, loose bolts, etc. He was great at explaining what he was doing so that we could learn some useful skills. After the bike shop, we biked to a Mexican restaurant and ate some delicious food. Then it was time for Wal-Mart and the post office. When we got back to Rebekah's aunt's house, we did some laundry (dirty clothes accumlate very quickly with us). We wanted to watch a movie, but after all of those errands, we were just too tired. We were so happy to be indoors that night because there were heavy thunderstorms in the area.
