Even though there wasn't a bike shop in Fallon, we decided to take the day off. If we had continued on to Carson City as planned, the bike shops would all be closed anyway since it was a Sunday. Plus, Rebekah and Emily were ready for a day off after the 114-mile day.

We tried our best to sleep in, but were out of our tents by 7:30 am. We did our usual Wal-Mart run to buy fuel, food, and other necessities. Then we went to McDonald's to take advantage of the free wi-fi. We enjoyed some free samples of their new Mango Pineapple Smoothie and wasted away a few hours there.

Rebekah spent the afternoon playing bingo with all the old ladies at the Depot Casino. Meanwhile, Michelle and Emily used the internet a bit longer and went back to the campground. After a few minutes there, they were hot and decided to go swimming. They met Rebekah at one of the local hotels with an outdoor pool. We quietly sneaked in and enjoyed a dip. 

After grabbing some dinner at the Safeway deli, we all headed back to the campground. At this point, Emily was feeling quite sick (stuffed up, sore throat). Michelle bought her some orange juice and then we all went to bed to rest up.
