We were planning to take the bus from Carson City to Incline Village, where Emily's aunt has a condominium (actually 3 buses since we'd have to transfer). However, Mike decided that he wanted to go to the beach and offered to drive us up to Tahoe. Of course, we gladly accepted.

Our beach day at Tahoe quickly turned into a boating day. Mike has so many connections, one being his friend Paul. He and Paul have been friends since high school. Paul works at the marina at Zephyr Cove. It just so happened to be Paul's birthday, so he took a few days off of work and got a free boat rental (these are amazing boats that are usually over $100/hr to rent). The boats hold 10 people and he only had 5 spots filled. We met up at the marina around 11am and headed out.

Paul was so knowledgeable about Lake Tahoe; he told us a ton of interesting statistics and showed us some cool sights. We first went to Emerald Bay where we were able to see Eagle Falls. This year the waterfall is just gushing since there was so much snowfall that is now melting. We also were able to see Vikingsholm and the teahouse on Fannette Island (the only island in Lake Tahoe).

From there, we just putted around the lake, blasted some good tunes, had a few beverages, swam, and lounged. We felt like VIPs; life on a boat (in Tahoe) is more than good!

Our day was cut a bit short when the weather turned sour. In the distance, we could see rain and lightning. It slowly was making its way toward our side of the lake. The ride back to the marina was quite rough and chilly (cold raindrops were falling on us). Who are we to complain though? It was an amazing day!

When we got back to Zephyr Cove, Mike drove us to Emily's aunt's house in Incline Village (on the north side of the lake). We were greeted by her aunt, Loula, and her uncle, Dan. They had to leave rather quickly though for a dinner date with friends. We ended up walking to T's Rotisserie (again) to have delicious burritos for dinner. After such a long, exhausting day, we were in bed asleep by the time Dan and Loula returned from their evening excursion.
