Day 96: Boating Again

As if one day of boating weren't lucky enough, we were invited to go again the following day! Paul was taking out the same boat and so far only he and his co-worker, Shannon, were planning on going. So us girls and Mike happily tagged along.
Mike picked us up from Incline Village and drove us back to the marina at Zephyr Cove. This time we got an earlier start and were out on the water by 10am. The weather was just right - sunny with blue skies! We headed out toward the middle of lake and got ready for some intense tubing. We made Mike go first to see how it's done! Paul started out gentle, but soon was testing Mike's skills.
After a few rounds, Emily decided she'd try next. She bravely got on and performed beautifully! Even though it was her first time tubing, she was great! Rebekah went next and couldn't wipe the smile off her face. Finally, Michelle went, but instead of going alone, she and Emily went tandem. The company may have made it more fun, but definitely not easier. It was fun watching each other get whipped off and seemingly float across the water before finally sinking in. Good times!
We took a little break at Gar Woods Grill & Pier. We were able to dock in front of the restaurant and walk right up. We thoroughly enjoyed 4 pitchers of "Wet Woody's," their signature frozen rum drink. We bought a few munchies from 7-11 across the street and headed back on the boat.
The afternoon was filled with more tubing and other random debauchery. In the later afternoon hours, however, the wind started to pick up and the water got a little rough. Paul skillfully navigated us back to Zephyr Cove safely. We met up with Mike's friend, Johnson, and his CouchSurfer, Jing. We all chilled in one of the cabins by Zephyr Cove that Paul was staying in. Our tiredness quickly set in though and it was time to call it a day.
Johnson drove us back to Incline Village. We were sooooooooooo tired and started to get really sore. Loula graciously prepared us some salads, broccoli and roasted chicken. After eating, we immediately showered and crawled into bed. Another amazing, but exhausting, day!!!
