After spending the past two days boating, it was time to stay on land. Loula offered to show us around to some of her favorite spots. After eating breakfast, we headed out to do a short little walk. The hike started out a little steep, but once on top of the ridge, we walked around the rim to catch gorgeous views of Lake Tahoe. It was in this area that Mark Twain once accidentally set a forest fire. There were some informational signs along the path that provided tidbits of random knowledge.

After that little hike, we went for lunch. Loula took us to a restaurant on the lake called, "Jake's On The Lake" (very appropriate name, indeed). We all ordered something different (chicken sandwich, shrimp louis salad, herb-crusted fish, and a tomato sandwich), but each were satisfied with our choice.

Next, we went to Emerald Bay to see Eagle Falls up close and personal. It was so cool to have seen it from the lake and then to see it from the land. Each perspective was equally noteworthy. We did a little hike called Eagle Loop and were absolutely mesmerized.

On the drive back to Incline Village, Rebekah fell asleep and the other girls were about ready to. Funny how so much fresh air can tucker one out so quickly! We woke ourselves up and readied for dinner. We went out to a bar, grill, and casino in Incline Village called Crosby's. We met up with some of Dan and Loula's friends. They were excited to meet us and had lots of questions about our trip. We answered their questions over some amazing taco salad, chili, and smothered burritos!

After dinner, we got back to Dan and Loula's condo and took a little dip in the hot tub. It was so hot that we could only stay in for about 15 minutes, but it felt amazing on our bruised and very sore bodies. Once again, we came back to the house and fell asleep in no time.
