Friday was our last night in Tallahassee, so we decided to have a little going away party. Lots of Emily's family was in attendance as well as a few other friends. After socializing, we ate a delicious dinner of BBQ (hot dogs, hamburgers, Smart Dogs), creamy mushroom rissotto, broccoli salad, and deviled eggs. Michelle tried to convince everyone to try her favorite snack: toast with butter and vegemite. Many were willing to try, but few actually enjoyed the experience. Her dessert, however, had much better results. She made pavlova, which is a bit like meringue with whipped cream, shaved chocolate, and fresh fruit on top. Another awesome dessert was provided by Frank: homemade strawberry ice cream. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmy! Thanks to everyone who showed up to bid us farewell. Of course, we are all sad to be leaving, but super excited to get this trip started!
